CMEE Hosts Peconic Family Fun Day

The Children’s Museum of the East End hosts its Seventh Annual Peconic Family Fun Day this Saturday, May 7, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Peconic Family Fun Day offers visitors the opportunity to learn about and celebrate the ecosystems, estuaries, and environments that make the East End so special.
The event is filled with fun and accessible activities designed to encourage water management, agricultural sustainability, recycling, and environmental stewardship.
Those attending will enjoy games, live critters, arts & crafts stations, a seed planting station, taste testing, music, and more.
This year’s presenting partners include: Amaryllis Farm, Amber Waves Farm, Bhumi Farms, the Children’s Museum of the East End, Country Lane Gardens of the Hamptons, Friends of the Long Pond Greenbelt, Good Water Farms, Hampton Library, Long Island Aquarium, Peconic Land Trust, Quogue Wildlife Refuge, Ross School, Southampton Hospital’s Tick-Borne Disease Resource Center, and the South Fork Natural History Museum (SoFo).
In addition to events at CMEE SoFo will host two easy-paced nature walks at the South Fork Natural History Museum, across the Turnpike from CMEE, to see the blossoms, birds, butterflies, turtles, frogs, and myriad plant and animal life that call the field behind the museum home.
Admission to Peconic Family Fun Day is free, but registration is suggested online here.
